The history of PHASS begins in Spring of 1994. Dissatisfactory sound in home hi-fi amplifiers and much more in car audio amplifiers brought to develop the authentic amplifier that can reproduce sound with natural tones that are clear and detailed while being gentle and non-fatiguing to the ear. That was the reason why the founder and CEO of PHASS Shogo Kurokochi and his engineer began to develop the amplifier RE 2.

There are many high price amplifiers that adopt many brilliant high price cosmetic parts, increased out put power, that makes easy to appeal to consumers, but has no bearing on the production of good sound. Most listeners are bored with hearing the same kind of sound from same kind of mass produced Single Push Pull Amplifiers. Shogo Kurokochi believes that the sound of audio amplifier should be more interesting, natural and pleasant to the ear.

During the listening tests with the combination of amplifier RE 2 and any other speakers, they had begun to feel the dissatisfaction with well known speakers, which got good reviews. This means that RE 2 makes it easy to reveal the speaker's abilities correctly, but at the same time makes it easy to hear the defects, that a speaker unit has.

That was the reason why PHASS wanted to create speakers those could accord with the amplifier‘s RE 2 possibilities. After more experiments, listening tests Shogo Kurokochi created speakers, those fully satisfied his expectations. Delighted with Alnico magnets possibilities Shogo Kurokochi decided to use them in PHASS speakers even they are very rare and expensive and actually rare home hi-end audio company uses them.

The name synonymous with high-end car audio throughout Japan has made its way to the EUROPE!
